fonctionnement

General operation

1) Generate a single-use code in the Boks app
2. Give the code to the delivery person, indicating it in the address details or in the delivery information (let the Boks app guide you through this).
3. Pick up your parcel from your Boks once you've received notification from the courier, by opening it via Bluetooth using your Boks app.

In the app, click on "How to send this code" button at the bottom of the code generation page, which will tell you how to proceed.
If you need, here's what to do : copy the code generated by the app (e.g. boksA253code998A5B) into the delivery address form on the e-commerce site when you make your purchase.

This information must appear on the label on your parcel when the delivery driver comes to collect it. The best way to do this is to copy the reference (e.g. boksA253code998A5B) into the 1st or 2nd line of your address (e.g. Additional information, Building, Floor, Staircase, Digicode, etc.).
If you forget to include the opening code on the delivery address, you can generate a code directly on the telephone with the delivery person (when your parcel is delivered).

No. Your Boks is energy self-sufficient (thanks to a replaceable battery that lasts 2-3 years). It is only connected to the internet via the user's smartphone, which it uses to communicate when the user opens it via Bluetooth.

The Boks service is operational on all e-commerce sites and via all carriers, anywhere in the world, as long as the single-use code is correctly entered in your address form.
For the time being, Boks is delivering BoksONE and BoksHUB to all French-speaking countries in Europe. If you have any questions about the availability of the service in other countries (outside French-speaking Europe), please give us your contact details by telephone (01 87 65 05 88), via our contact form or by e-mail to info@boks.app.

securite

Security

  • Mechanical security

Your Boks is vandal-proof: it has a motorised rotary tumbler lock that can withstand 300kg of tension, and is made from high-quality, reinforced sheet metal, between 1.0 and 2.0 mm thick, that is much stronger than a letterbox (not as strong as a safe, but stronger than an industrial security cabinet).

  • Electronic security

The access codes to your Boks are single-use (valid for a single opening) and are generated by an asymmetric encryption algorithm. They allow access to your Boks only by the residents of your home and by the carriers to whom you have given one.

  • Application and community security

Every operation to open, close, drop off or pick up a parcel is traced and recorded. The complete activity of a Boks is permanently available and can be consulted by its co-users in the app (History section in the menu). The Boks app also uses a collaborative system to check the number of parcels in your Boks.

Extra: boksHUB: A connected scale to monitor parcel weightBoksHUBs (Boks for buildings) are equipped with connected scales that weigh parcels. This ensures that another parcel is not stolen during delivery. It is also able to ensure that a parcel has been collected by the user without any other parcel being stolen. If any suspicious activity is detected, the system will alert its users.

Each operation to open or close the Boks is associated with a single-use code generated by the Boks user:

  • For the deliveryman, this is a keyboard code generated by the Boks user via his Boks app (sent by the customer to the deliveryman via the delivery form on the e-commerce site).

  • For the Boks user, this is a code automatically transmitted via Bluetooth to the Boks when the user wants to open it to collect the parcel.

  • All Boks opening/closing activities are tracked and recorded in the system, and can be viewed in the app.

NB: if you select multiple delivery on your Boks app (in several instalments, as may be the case on Amazon's website, for example), the code generated for the delivery driver is for triple use: it will be valid 3 times so that the delivery driver can come back to collect the missing parcels from your order.

utilisation

Use of the Boks

Yes! Use your Boks to have all your parcels delivered, no matter which carrier (La Poste, Chronopost, DHL, TNT, etc.) or e-retailer (Amazon, Veepee, CDiscount, small local sites, etc.) has delivered your parcel.
The single-use code you generate is the key to having your parcel delivered: so there are no restrictions linked to the carrier or seller !

How do you activate a Boks opening code on your computer? It's easy with the Boks Google Chrome extension!

1. Download it here
2. Once it's installed, log in using your Boks account (same login information as for the mobile application).
3. Then click on "activate a code" to start generating a Boks opening code.

Don't forget: copy/paste the Boks wording containing the opening code into your order delivery details so that the delivery driver can deliver to you in your Boks.

Absolutely! Here are the steps:

1. Generate a new delivery code using your Boks app
2. Send this code by text message to the person you asked to collect the parcel(s)
3. Ask them to inform you as soon as they have collected the parcel(s).
4. Important: complete the operation in your app by clicking on the link I've already collected/dropped off my parcel| which appears under your pending operation on the main page of your app.

You can access your Boks deposit and withdrawal history in the "History" tab of your Boks application.

The single-use opening code is valid until it is typed on the Boks keypad. This means that your delivery driver will be able to deliver to you even if you have mistakenly indicated that your parcel has been delivered.

boksone

Specific boksONE information for your home

Of course! Your BoksONE has a mail slot so you can receive your mail without the postman needing to get a code or open the mailbox door. So BoksONE can be used to replace your existing letterbox or to complement it.

Your Boks can be ordered in 4 different colours: white (RAL 9010), beige (RAL 1013), light grey (RAL 7035) or anthracite grey (RAL 7016). Visuals are available on the www.boks.app website in the section describing our products.

We have decided not to fit your Boks with a cylinder compatible with La Poste's PTT pass : the latter is much too frequently copied and would compromise the security of the system while making it impossible to trace parcel deposits and withdrawals.

Your Boks, on the other hand, is fitted with a high-security electromechanical rotary tumbler lock that can be opened with a single-use code by any delivery person you trust enough to pass it on to them.

In the unlikely event of the lock breaking down, you have an emergency key. However, the emergency cylinder is not intended to be used on a regular basis (your BoksONE would then lose its Bluetooth connectivity via your app, and would no longer be able to track opening and closing activity).

Your Boks can be mounted from below (on a flat surface such as a low wall) or on a wall, door or gate. You'll need the 4 fixing plugs and screws supplied and a drill.

NB : your Boks must not be installed on the public highway (e.g. overhanging a pavement) but on a private area (e.g. under a porch, in a recess, on a private access road, etc.). This is the only constraint on installation.

No. You can install a Boks by yourself. All you need are the four screws and plugs supplied to secure the Boks to the wall or floor. The only thing you'll need is a drill. Refer to the instructions for assembly.

2 types of Boks opening code are available :

  • Single-use code (one-off deliveries)
  • Permanent code (for trusted persons)

If you live in a house and own a BoksONE, you'll need to contact your insurer to see if they can pay compensation.

bokshub

Specific boksHUB information in a building

We'll help you apply for a BoksHUB for your building using a simple online form.

  • If you're an owner, simply send your request, along with a quote if necessary, to your property manager or union council, who will take the necessary steps with us (an installation may be subject to a vote at a general meeting of co-owners).
  • If you are a tenant, you must forward the installation request to the owner of your property (if you are a private individual) or to the property manager (if you are an institution), who can then take the necessary steps to install the service in your building.

The Boks teams will be happy to help you with this process. Please send us your contact details using our contact form or to info@boks.app so that we can call you back.
  1. Download the Boks app (search for "Boks Logistics" on the App Store or Google Play)
  2. Create your account using your email address and a password of your choice
  3. You must then (on the next screen) associate yourself with one of the Boks in your building.

There are 2 possible options :

You have received an e-mail from Boks containing a secret activation codeEnter this secret code in the field provided You are now associated with a Boks and ready to use it: its registration number is visible in the "My Boks" section of the application menu (this same registration number is shown on the front of the Boks).

You have not received an e-mail containing a secret activation codeFind the registration number on one of the Boks in your building (this number can be seen on a black number plate under the alphanumeric keypad on the Boks). A request for access authorisation is then automatically sent to the manager or caretaker of your residence, who will have to validate your request (in order to prevent outsiders from gaining access to the system) Once this authorisation has been granted, you will receive an e-mail from Boks informing you of your access to the service and the registration number of your Boks (you can find this registration number in the "My Boks" section of the application menu).

When you register on the mobile application, you must enter the number of the Boks located in your building. If you enter the wrong number, you can contact Customer Support (on our website or directly from the mobile application) to make a manual change to your Boks association request.

A scale is built into each BoksHUB that is installed. Thanks to their automatic weighing function, the connected scales can be used to monitor any parcel collected or deposited in the Boks.

With the full history available in the back office, it will be easy to trace the opening, closing and theft of parcels.

So as not to tie up the Boks for too long with your parcels, go to the Chat section of your app, for example to ask a neighbour for help, who could collect your parcels while you're away, and make them available at their home when you return.

Yes, of course. Remember to use the Boks mobile app chat to notify them, and to acknowledge receipt of your parcel once it has been picked up (this keeps the activity history up to date and therefore reinforces the system's security).

If a co-user has asked you to collect a parcel(s) for them, inform them (by telephone, SMS, e-mail or via the Chat section of your app) once the parcel has been collected, and ask them to acknowledge receipt of their parcel via their app by clicking on the link |I have already collected/dropped off my parcel|; in this way, the operation will be closed.

If you live in a block of flats, contact your concierge, your managing agent or your union council to let them know. Boks will replace it as soon as possible. If your parcels have also been stolen, make a complaint to your e-retailer and/or your carrier, as you would in the case of a traditional home delivery that has not arrived; the carrier must normally compensate you or reship your goods.

bokspro

Specific boksPRO information for professionals

With BoksPRO, you can receive your parcels 24/7, even when you're unavailable. Between work commitments and appointments, it's not always easy to receive your parcels. What's more, the BoksPRO's size means you can receive 100% of your parcels. Finally, full access to the back office is available with the BoksPRO subscription. You can retrieve the entire history of the BoksPRO (of your employees, deliverers, etc.).

The BoksPRO is larger than the boksONE, so it can be used to receive parcels from your staff as well as from carriers. The volume of the boksPRO means you can receive many parcels simultaneously. What's more, from 4 users upwards, a backoffice subscription is available, enabling you to optimise your company's parcel reception management.

On the other hand, BoksONE, is designed for single-family homes. The volume offered, although large, is less suited to businesses.

Your Boks can be supplied in 4 different colours: white (RAL 9010), beige (RAL 1013), light grey (RAL 7035) or anthracite grey (RAL 7016).

Visuals are available on the www.boks.app website in the section describing our products.

No. You can install a Boks yourself. All you need are the four screws and plugs supplied to secure the Boks to the wall or floor. You will only need a drill.
Refer to the instructions for assembly.
